Friday night brought several Sarasota runners to Oldsmar Florida for the first annual Tap House 5K Run. Oldsmar is located at the northern tip of Tampa Bay between Tampa and Clearwater. The race hosted over 1000 runners, each willing to brave the heat to get to that cold beer afterwards. Das boot (boot shape beer mug) was the reward to the top 30 men and 30 female finishers. The course was a well planned loop that brought the runners together between the one and two mile marks. The group from Sarasota (Dan, Alice, Kim, Rob, Peg, Teresa, Eric, Sharon) all did well on this fun Friday night.
